Big Service Project for Little Babies

Fifth grade students at Herriman Elementary started a service project for tiny babies that grew into something BIG. The students decided to collect pint-sized clothing and blankets, and knit hats for premature babies in the NICU at Jordan Valley Medical Center. The goal was to gather 150 items, but the five classes involved far exceeded that goal.  They managed to collect more than 300 pieces of clothing for preemie’s! On top of that, they made adult sized, warm winter hats that will be donated to the Road Home Shelter in Salt Lake City. The students hope the hats and clothing they collected will warm the hearts of everyone who gets them!
