Kauri Sue Students Take Stage with Memorable Musical

With a colorful cast, seaside set and amazing costumes and props, students at The Kauri Sue Hamilton School took the stage with a creative production of The Little Mermaid. They played familiar characters like Prince Eric, Grimsby, Ariel and King Triton. The actors didn’t let their wheelchairs or disabilities get in the way of pulling off a great performance. Teachers at Kauri helped the actors, in some cases using iPads and go-talks to convey lines in the show. It was a packed house for each of the two shows students performed. Some audience members actually had tears of pride, watching the cast members light up the stage with big smiles knowing they were able to overcome obstacles and put on a memorable musical. Congratulations to the cast, crew and members of Riverton High’s peer leadership team for their hard work and support.
