Herriman High Student Makes Her Mark as Winner in State Competition

Picture of book markerHerriman High’s Aliyah Hagen is getting a little help in saving up for college. That’s because the high school senior was recently chosen as one of eight students statewide as a winner in the “Make Your Mark” contest. It is a competition held in conjunction with Governor Gary Herbert’s declaration of September as College Savings Month and advocates saving and preparing for higher education. About 1,500 students entered the competition, which required them to design fun inspirational bookmarks. The winners each received a $1,000 Educational Savings Plan (UESP) college savings scholarship account. Congratulations to this talented Herriman High student and the other winners. Good luck with your futures in higher education!
