Columbia Elementary and JATC-North Students Participate in “Hour of Code” Event

Students at Columbia Elementary School, with the help of teens from Jordan Academy for Technology and Careers-North (JATC-North), participated in the worldwide educational event known as “Hour of Code”.

Along with several other schools in the Jordan School District, Columbia students learned some basic computer coding skills. JATC-North students rotated through classrooms throughout the school and taught mini-lessons on computer programming to the eager Columbia students. For most Columbia students, it was their first experience with coding, giving them an idea of what it takes to be a part of the computer programming and coding field.
