Middle School Students Reach Out to Special Needs Children with Holiday Surprise

Students at Ft. Herriman Middle School made a special holiday delivery hoping to warm the hearts of special needs children. The students raised about $12,500 in their annual holiday charity drive. They used part of that money to purchase more than 200 soft stuffed animals, one for every child at the Kauri Sue Hamilton School. Students personally delivered the stuffed toys to classrooms and gave each child a homemade holiday card as well.

The Ft. Herriman students are also donating $1,500 to ‘Warm The Soles,’ a charity that provides new shoes to children in need. In addition, they collected over 20,000 pounds of food which they donated to the Utah Food Bank.
