Teens Treated to Holiday Shopping Spree Thanks to Community Donations

The community teamed up with the Jordan Education Foundation to make sure young teens in need have something new this holiday season.

About 175 Jordan School District students in middle and high school were treated to a shopping spree at Gordmans. Each teen had a volunteer chaperone and was allowed to shop for $125 worth of clothing or other items they need throughout the store. The community raised $17,500 to make this special holiday event for students happen.

South Jordan firefighters, police, members of the military and other community volunteers were on hand to help the kids shop. Even Santa made a surprise visit, coming in on a fire truck.

Thanks to everyone for giving of their time and generosity to make magic happen for young people in need this holiday season.
