Bingham High Teacher Named Art Teacher of the Year by BYU McKay School of Education

Jaime James Bingham High art teacherThe Brigham Young University David O. McKay School of Education recently honored Bingham High teacher Jaime James with their Art Teacher of the Year Award. Jaime is a graduate of BYU. She has taught for 21 years, the last 11 years at Bingham High. Currently, she teaches drawing, painting and AP studio art.

In addition to her dedication to education and the arts, Jaime was honored for her involvement with the Springville Art Museum. She has encouraged placement of her student’s artwork at the museum, which has led to them winning awards and scholarships. Her dedication to her students and the arts is evident and makes her richly deserving of the Art Teacher of the Year Award at her alma mater.
