Lively dancing and festive music filled the field next to Hayden Peak Elementary recently as the school showed appreciation for other countries and people during the school’s first ever Cultural Celebration.
As hundreds of proud parents, grandparents and siblings cheered on, students brought cultural awareness to the audience through dance and song. Dressed in costumes and dancing with partners and in groups, the Hayden Peak students showed their audience authentically choreographed dances set to music from different regions of the world.
Selections included a traditional Russian folk dance, a toe-tapping Mexican Hat Dance and realistic Pioneer line dancing.
