They have been carving, sawing, sanding and varnishing their works for months and the hard work has paid off for some very talented West Jordan High School students. They recently competed in the Student Woodworking Competition presented by the Wasatch Woodworking Consortium. The Consortium consists of various businesses in the woodworking industry, Wasatch Front school districts and the Boy Scouts of America. One of the featured contests is the People’s Choice Award. This year that honor goes to West Jordan High School. WJHS senior Sarah Provard won the People’s Choice Award for her creatively designed, handcrafted, music-themed bureau. Congratulations to Sarah and everyone involved in this amazing event. Enjoy a photo gallery on our Facebook page.
