Harry Potter Inspires Students to Set Literacy Goals

Students at South Jordan Elementary celebrate Harry PotterIt was a day to celebrate all things Harry Potter, but more importantly a day to celebrate achieving literacy goals.

Students in Diane Witt-Roper’s 5th grade class at South Jordan Middle decided ‘Harry Potter’ would be their classroom theme this year. So they set out trying to reach reading goals with Harry Potter books and even incorporated Harry Potter into The 7 Habits of Leader in Me.

They celebrated the end of the year with a big Harry Potter party with everyone in elaborate costumes, playing Quidditch and enjoying a fabulous classroom feast.

Congratulations 5th graders on your creativity, commitment to reading and being great leaders!
