The Utah Jazz draft picks already have some pretty excited pint-sized fans at South Jordan Elementary School. That’s because Donovan Mitchell, Tony Bradley and Nigel Williams-Goss showed up at the school to say hi and read to more than 700 students during a special ‘Welcome to Utah,’ assembly. The rookies also stressed the importance of a good education and hard work. After reading they gave out prizes like autographed books, Jazz caps and t-shirts. Then they took questions from the inquiring young minds. The Bingham High Miners mascot and cheerleaders were also on hand to welcome the Jazz players. The assembly ended with each draft pick receiving a special gift from the students, which included a lunch box containing Utah fry sauce, honey, green jello and salt water taffy.
Good luck to these talented and inspiring young Jazz players! Thanks for visiting South Jordan Elementary School.
