With summer upon us it is a great time to drive home the importance of reading to your kids and a perfect time to visit your local library. That’s why Jordan School District teamed up with Salt Lake County Library Services in their Summer Reading Kick-Off Party 2017. The event was held at the West Jordan library branch and featured all kinds of activities and information booths along with a Jordan School District school bus, which was a big hit. Nearly 5,000 people attended and we are excited to report that more than 2,000 children, teens and adults signed up for summer reading! It’s not too late to participate, just stop by your local Salt Lake County library branch and sign up to get your summer reading record card. Read a book or two with your kids this summer and keep their minds active, engaged and ready to start a new school year in the fall. Enjoy a photo gallery on our Facebook page.
