Are you interested in serving on a committee to help shape the future of Gifted/Talented (G/T) programs in Jordan School District? The following committees have been approved by the Board Of Education based on the recommendations of the G/T Evaluation Committee:
Middle School G/T Committee to look at options for neighborhood middle schools. (will begin working fall 2008, monthly meetings throughout the 2008-09 school year)
G/T Advisory Committee: meeting every other month to look at what is currently being offered, issues that have come up that need to be addressed and/or changed, monitoring that the magnet program is functioning as it was intended (this would be an ongoing committee beginning fall 2008).
Local school G/T programming committee to develop menu options, accountability, professional development and training offered (beginning fall 2008)
G/T Professional Development Committee (beginning fall 2008)
G/T Identification Process Appeals Committee—(beginning fall 2009)
