High School Students Team Up to Help Fill Principal Food Pantries

Students and staff from Valley, Bingham, Copper Hills, Riverton and Herriman High Schools came together with a common goal, to help feed the hungry throughout Jordan School District. They started at Costco, where thanks to generous donations to the Jordan Education Foundation, they were able to purchase $23,000 worth of food. They sorted everything at the District warehouse and then the food was distributed to 59 elementary, middle and high schools where it will be used to stock Principal Pantries and feed hungry students.

Also, thanks to months of hard work on behalf of Copper Hills High teacher, Rickee Stewart, about 1,200 brand new coats are being delivered to schools for any student who needs one to stay warm in the upcoming winter months.

We are grateful to everyone involved in this important work supporting all students in Jordan School District.
