Very talented students from around the state came together hoping to march their way to musical success at the ‘Red Rocks’ marching band competition in St. George. Under the direction of Darin Graber, it was the Bingham High marching band that came out on top winning the state 4A championship. The Herriman High marching band took second place in 4A and Riverton High placed second in the 3A competition. Bands are classified by band size and not school size so a school that competes in 4A with athletics and other music activities could be classified anywhere from 1A to 5A, depending on the size of the band.
Congratulations to everyone involved. All of your hard work paid off and you made the District proud! Enjoy a photo gallery on our Facebook page.
