Governor Gary Herbert visits with students at South HillsIt is a day that some students at South Hills Middle School won’t soon forget. Governor Gary Herbert accepted an invitation to visit the school for a Q & A session with about 100 AP Geography students. The classes prepared questions on a variety of topics and they were excited for the unique opportunity to present them to the Governor.

Before taking questions, the Governor talked about the opportunities that exist in Utah for students to be anything they want to be. He said we have a tech savvy labor force that is always looking for more young people. Governor Herbert told the students that education is their door to opportunities. Geography teacher, Joseph Cochran said this was a lesson his students will likely never forget. Thank you to the Governor for taking time to share his knowledge with students and inspire young people.
