Elk Meadows Celebrates Math Challenge Win with School-wide Assembly

Elk Meadows Elementary School turned math problems into a donation for the Utah Food Bank, recently celebrating with a school-wide assembly.

The school was named the ‘Do Math! Pay It Forward’ representative school for the entire state of Utah. During the month of November, Elk Meadows had the highest percentage of math lessons passed utilizing the Imagine Learning math lesson software, from the 240 schools participating in the challenge.

This year, 887 classrooms and over 20,000 students joined the challenge. Students earned ‘think points’, which translated into a huge donation to the Utah Food Bank. Thanks to the hard work of students at Elk Meadows and other students throughout the entire state of Utah, the Utah Food Bank received a $2,500 donation.

Congratulations to Elk Meadows for using their math skills to help a worthwhile cause.
