Hundreds of students, parents, school staff and patrons made it a day of caring for a school and community that they love. About 568 volunteers arrived at Foothills Elementary bright and early on Saturday morning to make a difference in and outside the school. As part of Comcast Cares Day, they worked on all kinds of projects like planting, cleaning and sweeping, working together to beautify the school. It was a community-building event that also taught students the rewards of hard work. A big thanks to custodian Marci Stewart and Dyke Nelsen with Facility Services for making everything run smoothly and for staying on top of things until all projects were complete.
Amazing things can happen when the community comes together! Thank you to everyone involved.
