Parents Join Students for ‘Shark Tank’ STEM Night Competition

Students competing in 'Shark Tank' eventThe competition was fierce and not just among students. Southland Elementary School invited parents and faculty to join in their ‘Shark Tank’ STEM challenge using the engineering design process to design paper airplanes and present them to a board of ‘sharks.’ It was exciting to see parents and faculty engaged in the learning process alongside students. Winners were presented with trophies made by Mr. Gardner’s 6th grade students on the school’s 3D printer. It was a great night proving that learning can be a lot of fun!
