Talented Columbia Elementary Students Perform ‘Willy Wonka Kids’

Group of Columbia students perform Willy Wonka KidsA ‘Golden Ticket’ to fun and laughter was not needed for admission at Columbia Elementary School as a cast of student actors recently debuted ‘Willy Wonka Kids’, a stage adaptation of the Roald Dahl book, ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’.

Featuring toe-tapping songs like ‘I’ve Got a Golden Ticket’, ‘The Candy Man’ and ‘I Want It Now’, the musical follows Charlie Bucket and Grandpa Joe as they tour Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory along with other kids who were lucky enough to receive a golden ticket. While other kids misbehaved and were taken away by the Oompa-Loompas, Charlie and Grandpa Joe manage to (mostly) stay out of trouble, earning Willy Wonka’s trust and eventually the entire factory.

Congratulations of a great job by all the Columbia students and staff who helped put on this fun performance!
