Students Focus on STEM Careers in Fun Summer Class

Students in summer school STEM classIt was a fun summer of learning for some Jordan School District middle school students. They participated in something called PREP, which is the Prefreshman Engineering Program. West Jordan Middle math teacher Stacy Pierce saw the program, which runs for six weeks over the summer, as a way to introduce students to careers and opportunities in STEM-related fields. Every day started with a career speaker and every Friday the 35 student participants were treated to a field trip to places like Boeing, Rockwell Collins and Utah Valley University. Congratulations to everyone involved in this summer learning program that helped grow young minds over the summer break.
