What started out as a principal’s project to provide the gift of breakfast cereal for all of her students at Oquirrh Elementary over the winter recess, has turned into something much bigger. Thanks to community support and the Utah Food Bank getting involved, Principal Shauna Worthington managed to collect more than 2,700 boxes of donated cereal – enough to feed children at FIVE elementary schools. Ms. Worthington wanted to make sure kids didn’t go hungry, without breakfast, while they were away from school for the holidays.
Thanks to Ms. Worthington, her family, the Utah Food Bank and members of the community for making sure children don’t go hungry!
