The frigid winter weather won’t feel quite so bad for hundreds of elementary school students thanks to a group of kind and caring West Jordan City employees.
Members of the West Jordan Employee Association recently held a coat and boot drive hoping to help children in need at seven Title One elementary schools in West Jordan. Employees selected a “snowflake” with a child’s age and size and then shopped for boots, coats and shoes. They managed to collect more than 340 items, which were gift wrapped by Mayor Jim Riding and members of the Employee Association, then delivered to the schools.
Our sincere thanks to these kind-hearted people who put the needs of children first, helping to make their holidays a little brighter and certainly much warmer!
