Jordan School District’s Nutrition Services Department knows that before kids start learning, they need healthy bodies supported by hearty meals. Recently Katie Bastian, a registered dietitian with Jordan School District, and Herriman High School Kitchen Manager Jodie Bowles went on Fox 13’s The Place and discussed ways the District is focused on healthy meals for every student. From breakfast to lunch, Jordan District Schools make fresh bread and granola available with a variety of healthy fruits and vegetables. Ms. Bastian and Ms. Bowles also shared some easy ways parents can continue healthy eating at home with simple snacks. Watch the video to see three different after-school treats your family will love.
