Excitement Building Over Rebuild of West Jordan Middle

Tour group poses for a picture inside the new West Jordan Middle School. It is a nostalgic time for students, teachers, staff and parents at West Jordan Middle School which, after 60 years of serving students and the community, will soon be a cherished memory for many as the new West Jordan Middle opens its doors.

Principal Dixie Garrison and members of her staff recently toured the new school under construction. They are filled with excitement and anticipation over the move. The new school is described as open and inviting with beautiful natural lighting and brightness. Teachers are in the process of picking out furniture for their rooms as work on cabinet installation and painting continues throughout the school. The new West Jordan Middle is a modified Copper Mountain Middle design and will open in the 2019-20 school year.

Demolition of the old school is expected to take place approximately the first week of July.
