Governor Recognizes Jordan School District CNG Bus Program

Governor Recognizes Jordan School District CNG Bus ProgramGovernor Gary Herbert chose Earth Day to ceremonially sign 15 bills that will make real progress toward better air quality in Utah.

Resolution HCR9 sponsored by Representative Cheryl Acton recognizes Jordan School District and Transportation Director Herb Jensen for the on-going commitment to increasing the District’s fleet of cleaner burning Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses. Jordan currently has the largest fleet of CNG school buses in Utah. The CNG bus program is one way JSD can help to make sure the air tomorrow is cleaner than the air we breathe today.

This year, the Utah Legislature put $29 million toward improving our air quality.
