It is giving special needs students at the Kauri Sue Hamilton School an experience they have never had before. A new playground was built outside the school to give students in wheelchairs access to things like swings and a sway way ramp that can hold up to six children at a time. The new playground equipment provides movement and a sensory sensation special needs students have not had outside the classroom before. The new playground was built with unique safety features for special needs students as well.

The local GSBS Architect firm designed the playground and officially opened it to the delight of students who were all smiles enjoying the specially designed playground equipment.
