Rose Creek Students Show Compassion for Others in Successful Toy Drive

Kids wrap paper chains around a teacher and representative from O.U.R.It began as an Eagle Scout project to try and collect toys for Operation Underground Railroad, a non-profit organization which assists governments around the world in the rescue of human trafficking and sex trafficking victims, with a special focus on children.


Toys donates to O.U.R. Kyle Gowen’s Eagle Scout project soared when he enlisted the help of students at Rose Creek Elementary School. Everyone at the school got behind the effort and before they knew it toys were arriving every day. They had a goal of collecting 1,000 toys. However, the students rallied and were able to collect over 2,000 toys for Operation Underground Railroad, toys that will allow children to be children.
