Teachers Help Families New to the United States Learn Survival English

Oquirrh Elementary School teachers were inspired to help kids and parents, new to the community, learn English after seeing students in their classes struggle. Using money from teacher grants made possible by Jordan School District Board of Education, the teachers started a biweekly afterschool class where families can learn language skills to help them in their everyday lives.

The teachers at Oquirrh Elementary school really do believe in ‘Every Child, Every Day.’
