For generations of student’s, middle school memories will live on from countless hours spent in the classrooms and hallways of West Jordan Middle School. But after more than 60 years, the oldest school in Jordan School District is being torn down as the new West Jordan Middle School prepares to open on the same property. This week demolition crews began work to bring the old school down, something that will take more than a week. This is a rare event because our schools are built to last for 60 to 70 years. West Jordan Middle has served students and the community well.
The new school, built directly behind the old school, will open in August for the 2019-20 school year.
