It was a team effort that required hard work, endless planning and some sleepless nights but Jordan School District Facility Services managed to do what some are calling the impossible. They opened five brand new schools on time and under budget for the 2019-20 school year. And, the new Mountain Ridge High School opened a year earlier than scheduled.
Board of Education President Bryce Dunford called it a “herculean task” saying the Board stands in awe of their accomplishments.
The facilities team was honored with a plaque and the first-ever JSD Golden Hammer Award.
Congratulations to everyone involved for getting the new schools open, supporting students and education.
