Chinese Dual Language Immersion Students Reach Out to Victims of Tour Bus Crash in Southern Utah

It is a simple act of kindness that students in Jordan School District’s Chinese Dual Language Immersion classes hope will make a difference in the lives of Chinese tourists going through a tragic time right now. The students decided to write individual notes of love and support in home-made get well cards to the Chinese men and women who were involved in the tour bus crash near Bryce Canyon on Friday. The cards were written in Chinese and English.

Hundreds of cards will be hand-delivered to crash survivors who are still hospitalized. The students from Eastlake, Foothills, Southland and Monte Vista Elementary Schools hope the gesture will give the Chinese men and women some comfort, knowing children in Utah care about them and their road to recovery.
