Riverside Elementary School Students Make History in State Poster Contest

Picture of winning posterCongratulations to some very talented Riverside Elementary School students who recently participated in an annual Arbor Day Poster Contest sponsored by the State Forestry Office. Riverside Elementary Media Assistant Carla Nelson says the contest is a great way for students to showcase their artistic talents and create environmental awareness.

While Riverside students have participated in the contest for 15 years, this year the school had not one, but four State winners. We’re told that has never happened in the history of the Arbor Day Poster Contest!

Congratulations to Danny Haws, Lucia Berber, Nora Foote, and Leila Kofeloa on your creativity and amazing work on the winning posters!
