Mountain Ridge High School Moves to Online Learning

The Salt Lake County Health Department has identified 22 active cases of COVID-19 within Mountain Ridge High School.

After discussing the circumstances in an emergency Board meeting tonight, the Jordan School District Board of Education has determined that it is necessary for Mountain Ridge High School to move to online, virtual learning for two weeks beginning Thursday, October 1. To allow students and staff time to prepare for online learning, Wednesday, September 30, will be a teacher preparation day; there will be no virtual classes.

  • In general, students will not be allowed in the building beginning Wednesday, September 30.
  • Staff will be allowed in the building if needed to gather instructional materials.
  • All classes will be held virtually beginning Thursday, October 1.
  • In-person classes will resume on Tuesday, October 27, after fall break.
  • A grab and go lunch will be available from 11-12:00 pm.
  • JATC North and South enrolled students will still be able to participate in-person in their appropriate programs. JATC bussing will run as normal tomorrow with more details to come.

More details about Mountain Ridge High School moving to online, virtual learning for two weeks will be coming soon.
