What started out as a small coat drive for a local homeless shelter has turned into a much larger effort to provide winter coats for those in need in the communities of Riverton, West Jordan, South Jordan, Herriman, Copperton, and Bluffdale. The coat drive is called “No Cold Kids” and students have even enlisted help from Scheels. The retailer will match every donation to the coat cause. So far, the students have collected about 200 new and gently used coats. However, their goal is to collect at least 800 coats, hoping to bring at least some relief to students and families struggling during difficult times brought on by COVID-19.
Thanks to these amazing Herriman High students for caring about our communities
