Shorter Quarantines

The Utah Department of Health is shortening the recommended quarantine period from 14 days to 10 days after a person has been exposed to COVID-19.

Beginning today:

  • A quarantine will end after 10 days if no symptoms are reported.
  • A quarantined individual may return to school after seven days if they test negative on or after day seven and report no symptoms. This is only for an exposure that occurred outside of a household.
