West Hills Middle Students are State Champions in ‘We the People’ Competition

Picture of West Hills Middle StudentsCongratulations to some very hard-working and accomplished students at West Hills Middle School. For the second year in a row they have taken top honors in the Statewide ‘We the People’ competition.

‘We the People’ spotlights Constitutional history, law and civics. The event combines knowledge of the Constitution, while defending their beliefs, rights and roles as U.S. citizens.

Four out of six West Hills teams took first-place in the following topics: Lockean Government, Constitutional Compromises, Federalism, and Freedom of Religion, as well as winning best school overall.

A big thank you to everyone who supported the students by judging the competition virtually.

We are very proud of these talented students and their teacher Carina Whiteside.
