Jordan School District Launches First “Unified Golf” Program in Utah

It is a program bringing students of all abilities together creating a fast and meaningful path to fun, friendship and understanding. First Lady Abby Cox was on hand as Jordan School District launched the first ever “Unified Golf” program in the State of Utah.

“Unified Golf” is an opportunity for middle school students with and without disabilities to come together as friends and play together on a team in competitive golf. The Glenmoor Golf Course team has been working hard to make “Unified Golf” a reality. Students received a quick lesson in using a golf club, swinging, putting and just enjoying the game and each other.

This program, which is part of Unified Sports, is a statewide effort to foster greater empathy and understanding of students with disabilities and to encourage more inclusion and opportunities for all students.
