Kings Peak Virtual High School Student Receives Top Honor for Her Artwork

She is a 12th grade student at Kings Peak Virtual High School and her original artwork will be on its way to Washington D.C. soon. Principal Ammon Wiemers says Kings Peak is extremely proud of Mariah, who took a first-place award at the 51st annual Utah All-State High School Art Show for her digital artwork titled “Wave.” Congressman Burgess Owens presented Mariah with the award and her artwork will be on display at the Springville Art Museum until March 24, 2023. After that, the piece will be transported to Washington D.C., where it will be displayed inside Congressman Owen’s Congressional office for one year.

Congratulations, Mariah! What an amazing accomplishment.
