Serving Up a Taste of Chinese Culture at Foothills Elementary School

It was a fun and relaxing way to learn about Chinese culture and cuisine at Foothills Elementary School. Chinese Dual Language Immersion teacher, Yunliang Bao, organized a Chinese dumpling-making activity for teachers and anyone interested in learning how to make the delicious dumplings.

The Chinese DLI teachers have been working hard to integrate Chinese culture into the school, and decided a cooking lesson in the art of Chinese dumpling-making would be a real treat for teachers and staff. As part of the school’s Wellness Day activities, teachers put their cooking talents to the test, making home-made dumplings, cooking them, and eating the tasty morsels. They also received a side-order of lessons in Chinese culture and learned what Chinese DLI teachers for our community.

Keep up the great work in DLI at Foothills Elementary School.
