West Jordan High Girls Basketball Team Caring for Kids in the Community

It was an act of kindness and literally a team effort by some students and their coach at West Jordan High School.

The girls’ basketball team, led by Coach Lei Lolohea, organized an Easter Egg Hunt which was free for anyone in the community last Saturday. They made sure all elementary schools in the West Jordan High feeder system knew about the event, and it was a huge success.

All of the eggs and candy for the Easter Egg Hunt were donated by various groups, teams, faculty, and staff at West Jordan High School. Families and their children who participated had a great time and their response to what the basketball team did for kids was really positive. This isn’t the first free community event organized by Coach Lei and her team. At Halloween they did a Trunk or Treat that was also free to the community.

Keep up your winning ways, caring about kids in the community. We are proud of the West Jordan Girls Basketball team!
