He is described as simply one of the best teachers around and students are lucky to have him in the classroom. Please join us in congratulating Elk Ridge Middle School Social Studies teacher AJ Steele. Mr. Steele was recently recognized by the College Board and the Utah State Board of Education as an Advanced Placement High FlyerTeacher because of his extraordinary work in the number of students taking the AP exams and the percentage of students with exceptional scores.
This award goes to a select group of teachers who have proven practices in building a classroom culture of confidence when it comes to taking the AP exam. Educators recognized with the award had at least 75% of their students take the AP exam with a pass rate exceeding 10% above the Utah average.
