Fort Herriman Middle School Students Spread Thanksgiving Cheer to Students and Families Along the Wasatch Front

Student Body Officers (SBO’s) from Fort Herriman Middle School volunteered with the non-profit organization For the Kids, which they championed during last year’s Diamondback Giveback Season. The SBO’s stopped at an Elementary School in West Valley, where they had the opportunity to engage with students to celebrate their achievements in the DARE program. Afterward, they prepared Thanksgiving meals, including turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn, and gravy, for 100 families that might have gone without in the West Valley community.

Teachers, staff, and the administration at Fort Herriman Middle School say they are working to create a culture of generosity and compassion among its students. They say initiatives like this showcase the remarkable impact that dedicated young leaders can have in their community.

Keep it up, Diamondbacks! Your efforts truly make a difference!
