JSD Top Fifteen Outstanding Educator of the Year – Bridgett Johnson

West Jordan Middle School band and orchestra teacher Bridgett Johnson is one of the Jordan Education Foundation’s top fifteen Outstanding Educators of the Year. Ms. Johnson was nominated for the award by the staff at West Jordan Middle for instilling a passion for music and learning into her students.

Ms. Johnson has created a music program where students feel safe, empowered, and excited to grow. She combines passion, patience, and high expectations with meaningful experiences, teaching not just skills but service, collaboration, and community. Beyond her classroom, she mentors colleagues, elevates her school culture, and leaves a lasting impact on every student and educator.
