They are bright and creative students learning the Chinese language and using their creativity to connect with the community around them. The Jordan School District Dual Language Immersion (DLI) Chinese students at Mountain Creek Middle School recently decided to team up with Ocean Mart Sandy for a fun Mooncake Design & Introduction Competition.
As part of the competition, students put their Chinese language skills, creativity, and cultural knowledge to real-world use, creating designs to decorate Ocean Mart, welcoming the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋节)!
We are proud to see Mountain Creek Middle students use their Chinese skills beyond the classroom and share their creativity in a unique way. A huge thank-you to Ocean Mart Sandy for allowing students this wonderful opportunity and for providing prizes to celebrate and encourage student creativity in and outside the classroom.
