Oct. 26, 2021 Board Meeting Summary

Celebrating West Jordan High School
Macy Dulgarian, Student Body President, said this year the West Jordan High School theme is “Heart of a Champion,” and sports teams are all proving to be great examples of champions this year. She said one thing students love about WJHS is all the opportunities to get involved in activities and clubs like DECA, FBLA and HOSA. Macy said there are also new clubs at the school like the Fashion Club and True Crime Club. A goal for student body officers this school year is to unite the student body in ways they have never seen before. The school also takes great pride in work being done in the classroom, with the new IB program at WJHS and with the significant increase in student interest in the Sterling Scholars program.

Superintendent Godfrey thanked the team for their passion, dedication and hard work in caring deeply for making sure students are prepared for what is next in their education. The teachers expressed excitement about the amazing progress students are making in the new literacy program.
