It was an opportunity to make new friends and find out what it’s like to be a firefighter at the same time. West Jordan City firefighters took the time to meet with kindergarten students at Antelope Canyon Elementary School recently to let them know firefighters are their friend. They taught the students what it’s like to fight fires, demonstrated how they suit up when a call comes in, and showed them some of the equipment needed to fight a fire. The students were fascinated and enjoyed the presentation, especially getting to see a big red fire truck up close and personal.
Thanks to the West Jordan City Fire Department for their outreach, getting to know young students, and being such great community partners!
