Liangli Tao, a Chinese Dual Language Immersion (DLI) teacher at Foothills Elementary School, has been named Jordan School District’s DLI Teacher of the Year. Mr. Tao, who has taught first and sixth grade at Foothills, is widely recognized for his unmatched energy, passion, and dedication to his students. Families at the school appreciate how he brings language and culture to life in ways that leave a lasting impact. Principal Abe Yospe says, “Mr. Tao exemplifies the school’s staff motto of ‘Be Awesome for Kids!’ He is a leader amongst the teachers at Foothills and his DLI peers in the District.”
