Silver Crest Elementary Students’ Spare Change Helps to Bring Big Change to Their Community

In a heartwarming display of community spirit, the student council at Silver Crest Elementary School led a fundraising drive called “Change for Cancer” to support the Huntsman Cancer Institute and help those battling cancer.
Throughout the month of December, students reached out to local community members asking them to donate their spare change to the cause and that they did, raising almost $1,000! The students chose Huntsman because two teachers at Silver Crest Elementary School are currently undergoing treatment for cancer.
Great job to all the students and staff who made this donation possible and for bringing the community together to help fight cancer!
