Riverton High School Softball clinched the 2026 6A UHSAA Championship in thrilling fashion over Herriman High School. The title was the third consecutive for the Silverwolves softball and the fifth in the last six years.
It was a hard-fought championship series as Riverton walked off with a 9-8 victory in game one of the series. In a game two slugfest, the Silverwolves trailed by four and were down to their final out before Bre Mackay hit a game-tying grand slam to send the game to extra innings. Grace Leary delivered a walk-off double to win it 16-15.
